Motherboards compatible with core2quad processors

Hey all,

My last motherboard fried, not sure what motherboard it even was. I'm looking for a motherboard that is compatible with my Intel Core2Quad Q9550 2.8ghz processor.

Any recommendations? Preferably one that can take DDR3 Ram as well.

Anything that is socket 775 should be compatible, you might need a bios update for the very cheap/entry level boards.

my recommendation is that you upgrade to newer gen hardware.. if thats not an option for you right now, go to carbponite.co.za and have a look for a 775 socket board through the for sale ads or post a wanted ad for a compatible motherboard..
