Nope we skipped Moroes cause we only had one priest (ie. only 1 shackle)
other healer was a druid in tree form.

We're gonna go again tonight with 2 priests... hopefully all goes well and we get to do the opera event as well. I'm really excited as I'm a total raid noob and my guild seems very cool and friendly. (damn it's funny listening to some of them on vent with their outrageous accents)

But yeah as I said, it's made me go back to the lock forums and re-evaluate my spec..etc. Got me interested in my lock again. :D
 
We downed Att and the animal boss(with 8 guys) on saturday night but couldnt take moroes. Where is Maiden located then I thought you need to kill Moroes to proceed with the instance?
 
Kara doesnt have a kill order, killing them in order does help ALOT tho

Some bosses you have to kill before you can progress eg. moroes, the opera event, the curator and the chess event.

You can skip the others. But those are the ones you have to kill/do to get to the end of the instance.

@volstruis - the maiden is up the stairs where you kill the huntsman.

PS. we downed moroes and finished the opera (we got little red riding hood), now we're on the curator.

never been up those stairs... i always thought that was the way up 2 the kitchen next to the Dining hall
ill go explore 2nite, <3 empty kara :p

err. The stairs behind the Huntsman also leads to Moroes...
Rather go up the Stairs as you enter the instance (on the right) kill the dancers upstairs, move through the door on the right, up the stairs there. A few more dancers and patrols upstairs and enter the door on the right. Mainden is at the end of that corridor, the kara quest item is in the first room to the left of that corridor.

Good luck on Moroes! He still gets us now and then when we take a lot of newbies into kara. Doable with one priest, but then you need uber healing and some extra tanks. Hunter trapping works nice aswell a long with paladin fear, or druid cyclone. Just dont loose any healer in the fight, and use 2 main healers and a backup on your first tries.

We took him down last night after our 3rd try he got pooned. We tried maiden but alas no luck on her yet.
 
Key to maiden fight is dispell! And ofc keeping hots on the MT at all times.
 
Ye and some ranged dps. we had 2 ranged dps in the whole group so our mellee okes took a beating. We had her to 32%. Next time she will go down.

Is the max of 4 melee peeps at maiden still applying? Remember that it was impossible to have more than 4 peeps in melee range... Might have been changed though?
 
Generally we try to keep it to 3 melee, in a triangle formation around Maiden. Prevents the holy dmg thing she does from chaining to nearby people. We have the pally healer keep up blessing of sacrifice on the MT, and a shadow priest in range of everyone doing dispels.

Works every time :)
 
Ahh, ok. So he keeps the tank healed during repentance I assume. WIth him on the tank, you should really have enough time to dispel as well as main heal.

If your latency provides, if you time a sw:death on maiden as she's casting Repentance, the backlash dmg will break the repentance stun on you. I've only managed to get it right a few times, but its effective if you time it right.
 
Yep personally havent tried the SWD routine but heard it works. Next time she will go down all was in a flurry after our 1st moroes down. Now we will plan Maiden beter.
