Any news on which carriers will be bringing these phones in and by when? I rather get it on a contract if the launch date is not too far away...

well nothing from no one is the sad answer.
apparently Nexus line phones do not sell well in SA, so the galaxy nexus was only brought here after the S3 that was released 6 months later internationally,
the Nexus 4 was not offered on a single contract in SA by a single provider.
and I cannot remember the last time I saw a motorola on contract was before it was running android....

Don't expect the carriers here to bring them in anytime soon, if ever. Such is the way of the world.

They brought the RAZR to SA why not the Moto G

That was a thousand years ago. It;s up to Motorola to curry favour with the carriers here, and I don't see that happening anytime soon. Motorola themselves have been very slow to move back into international markets.
