MotoGP 2022

Sorry, to clarify. My not as close reference was more about the manufacturers battling it out for top spot compared to MotoGP than the actual on track action at the front. Agree with you fully. The racing has been close as heck. Toprak under breaking is a sight to behold. He comes from miles back. How he doesn't lose it, I don't know.

Shouldn't actually be there in an ontrack racing context.
No worries, and I got where you were coming from regarding the manufacturers.

Genuinely hope the FIM take a year off from restricting the Kawasaki next season; recon Johnny being properly able to mix it up with Alvaro and Toprak will make the racing even better.

Why is / was Kawasaki restricted?

Yup… The FIM limit things like rpm on the bike and have been for a while now.

Thing is, Johnny won six in a row and other teams needed to catch up, and so the restrictions… They have caught up, Toprak won last year and Alviro this year, and now the green bike is lagging.

Not sure how i feel about artificial limits like that but i understand why they would do that - too much winning by 1 team / competitor is also not great for the fans

One thing to remember if you're going to give it a shot, is the format which is different to MotoGP.

Quail happens Saturday morning and race one is on Saturday afternoon; then there's a sprint race on Sunday morning which sets up a new grid for race two on Sunday afternoon... Three races each round.
So there is a sprint race coming in MotoGP as well...

I still fondly remember the Haga and Edwards days at Kyalami when there was the 2 main races on a Sunday.
