Has anyone here dealt with the MIO ?
My wife has been without her Vehicle now for some 300 days now as the garage that was meant to carry out the repairs botched it and then even botched the second attempt before it had to be moved to another garage . Anyhow to cut a very long story short she still does not have the Vehicle , we were offered a settlement amount but frankly that settlement amount would not have allowed us to purchase a like for like replacement Vehicle .
We finally found the exact same model ,year ,specs etc model for sale in JHB and then spoke to an attorney who advised us to request that amount as it was a replacement cost on a like for like replacement . We sent the e mail 2 days ago and no reply at all .
So we are really out of options it would seem .
Hence considering the MIO .
Anyhow if anyone has dealt with the MIO it would be great to hear what it all involved etc . I have kept extensive notes during the past 300 days together with a timeline (which is currently sitting at like 31 pages long on a word doc on font 12 )
Oh and yes the Vehicle is still not 100% repaired as it is still at the garage and there are still issues which it also seems are not going to be sorted out .
