Motorcycle battery not Charging

Anybody know how I can test to see what is causing that it does not charge.

I know it can be the stater or something else. How do I test?

This is on a Big Boy RCT170 scooter.

The engine was redone in November and a week later the battery stopped charging.

I don't know too much about bikes but the first step is to get a good battery and hook it up to eliminate the starter, with the engine running test the output on the battery terminals with the battery removed? It is how it's done on cars. You will need a multimeter.

Since you say the engine was redone maybe something was not properly fastened and it worked itself loose over time?

With a multi-meter and running it to see what it outputs.

And if the engine was re-done stop trying to solve the problem yourself and take it back as a warranty on the work completed.
