Motorcycle learners booking

Hi.

Can anyone please tell me what the procedure for booking a motorcycle learners test is nowadays?

I know that a few years back you had to call some pathetic national call center who could never help you with a booking anyway.

Do I need to go a testing center in order to make a booking?

Its the same as the car licence. Go to a traffic department and ask.

Did this relatively recently.
Just pitch up early doors at a center that accepts learners tests (not all do).
Have a copy of your ID and your ID book (very NB - they don't make copies for you), the fee in cash (think it's R160 or something, not too sure), and a pen.
Get there, fill in the form, you do an eye test, make your payment and then get a date for the actual test.

If in Western Cape:

Your official South African identity document.
Two ID-sized black and white or colour photographs (35mm x 45mm).
The R68 application fee.

You will also need to complete the LL1 form, which will be provided by the traffic department. Remember to take a pen as most traffic departments do not provide any.
