The old "Droids" where sold in south africa and other countries as the "Milestone" as the GSM Counterpart to CDMA
 
I must say I've been eagerly anticipating Googles hand over Motorola, to see what they come up with. I think there is a lot of buzz over these phones right now.

But will they sell it here?

Google announced a while back that they were just aiming at the North American market for now.

Tell me about it. This phone looks great.

What I'm watching with some interest is the Ubuntu edge. expensive, but their aim is to create a concept phone using technology that isn't yet feasible to include on mass produced models. So you have a sapphire crystal screen that can only be scratched by diamonds and a silicon-anode battery to give you more power among other things.
