Can someone else with a Milestone please test something for me?

  1. Set up a wireless AP (Mine uses WPA2-PSK, not sure if it's relevant)
  2. Make sure you can browse over it
  3. Check your memory card (Settings -> SD Card & Phone storage) - Total and Available space should show reasonable values
  4. Leaving Wifi on, reboot your phone
  5. Repeat 3, mine shows both as Unavailable
  6. Switch WiFi off, reboot phone
  7. Repeat 3, should now show correct values

For some obscure reason if I switch on my phone with WiFi enabled and in range of a known wireless LAN, the memory card becomes completely unavailable to apps on the phone. If I reboot with either WiFi off or out of range of a known AP, the memory card works correctly.

If I plug my USB cable into my phone and set it up for Memory Card access, I get the same behaviour, so for some reason the phone is equating the two conditions.

I already sent my phone to Motorola once to have the firmware re-flashed, so I know it is installed correctly. This phone is NOT rooted.

Wireless AP: Netgear WNR3500L, set up in b/g/n mixed mode with WPA2-PSK AES.

Firmware: 2.1-update1
Build: SHOLS_U2_02.36.0
