Anybody got this yet? I need to replace my phone in a hurry. This looks good, I'm just concerned about it only having 1GB of RAM. I don't play games etc on my phones, I just don't want it to lag after 4 months (current Lumia has 512MB RAM and that is fine)

The news I've read about previous Moto G's say that for most tasks, it works great with the 1GB of RAM, with the exception of not being able to stream music and have Google Maps running unless it's a custom rom that has been memory optimized.

Wonder if Orange will stock the 16GB storage/2GB RAM version.

I made a summary post in this thread. I hope they will stok the 16/2gig version.

Received it this morning. All good so far, will play with it a bit more tonight. Only "complaint" is that all the booklets are in French... at least I think it is French

A 3 day delivery time, that's insanely quick. About the translate, not a problem Google translate can't fix, would be nice in english though

I'm happy. Very responsive and it feels rather solidly built. Near stock Android is also a plus. I installed another launcher, saw all the extra crap it installed and promptly uninstalled it and went back to the Google Now launcher.

The battery is great compared to other Androids I suppose. It doesn't touch my Lumia 720's though, so that is a bit of a bummer. But that's really my only complaint.

I don't for see this to be a problem for me, but if you are very app heavy you'll want more space on the phone.

Definitely recommended though (so far). After this I'd never want to have a non-stock Android (as in "comes with bloatware k@k") again. Using my Asus tablet is kinda frustrating all of a sudden.

Awesome, sounds good. My wife is still sitting with a bloated s4 mini that is lagging big time. She has Jellybean still, no sign of Kitkat let alone Lollipop or Marshmallow. I vowed to ensure we stuck with stock Android (Google/Motorola) going forward. I have also ordered a 32gb Sandisk Micro SD Card.

The other benefit: since it is relatively cheap compared to other phones, when the eventual Android lag kicks in you just buy another one

You referring to Samsung bloatware lag I assume. Ive got a 2013 Moto X. I did the 5.1 OTA update a few months ago. Still no lag and still has not frozen on me and has never been reset. I guess that is why they confident enough to do the sealed in battery thing. My mother upgraded to a Galaxy A3 a month ago. I have already done a factory reset for her because the phone becomes confused and won't open apps and the camera takes half a picture.

Got the Moto G 3rd gen a week ago. Seems to get through its tasks without breaking a sweat. I use email a lot during the day, maps to get to clients 5-6 times and its battery holds till 7-8 in the evening. This replaced my ageing 2013 Moto X. Its battery wasn't up to the task anymore. Don't like The Google launcher much so i am using Nova launcher. Doesn't have any added on rubbish like a lot of other launchers out there.

Hi guys,

Where do you take your Moto G phones to be repaired in Gauteng?
