motorola v360 questions

My V360 scrambles after every internet session. This has never happened before. All my messages and templates gets deleted. I also have to restart it to be able use it. Anybody else got this problem?

Uh, no you can't. At least, not via any site I can find. If someone can post a definitive, stable URL, I would be happy to see it.

Maybe its gone now, but u don't need MPT to connect. There is no software for v360. U must choose V3 when your computer detects a modem. I use a V360 and bought a V220 cable and software. Never use a cable with a dongle (a cylindrical insert) as this can be highly toxic to your phone.

I have also been hunting for V360v software in order to connect my wife's phone to her computer. I am using the mini USB cable that we got a few years ago with a HP digital camera and it works fine. The only glitch is that I can not find the software for this phone anywhere! Could anyone help please?

Hi You have to set your phone to GPRS and if EDGE is available it will connect to EDGE. The connection settings as such will be the same regardless of whether you are on GPRS, EDGE or 3G/HSDPA.

Look for the post 'Motorola V3X' and follow the setup instructions on my thread. There is no software for V360 so choose V3 from the list.
V360 has a problem which you might blame MTN for. If you get a call or SMS while surfing, it sometimes disconnects and will not connect again.
It might connect to MTN's server but not to your homepage ie Google, or might not connect to MTN's server at all.
You might then have to switch the phone off and remove the sim and replace it and restart. You might also have to restart your computer.
I do both. You might also have to dial *99***3# instead of *99#.
This is one mighty phone.
You might also want to purchase the V220 software as it works with V360.
As I said, choose V3 from the list as V360 is not listed.

PC or cellphone shop - just ask for a mini usb cable.
