Motorola V980 (VLIVE)

I am in need of assistance,have the Moto V980, good phone....i have downloaded several Java Application,some that need internet access to work.Figured out that the Vlive apn can not be used for them,must be some restriction on the ports that you can access from this apn.The internet apn works,for most including jmirc....thing is...downloaded reuters and cnn mobile,both java applications....when I try to go online with these applications....get error msg: NETWORK ACCESS FAILURE,PLEASE TRY AGAIN (703) even tried internetvpn apn,same thang

Had NOKIA 6230 previously,and both applications worked.....help pls...
