No man seriously now, can we not start a campaign not to pay tv license until this organisation is sorted out. Why must i pay for corrupt behavior.
 
He does not seem to know what his role in the SABC is either. CEO, COO, Head Corporate Affairs? What is pretty much the same, he IS the voice of the SABC regardless.

Yes, but he used his intellect and business acumen to build a business worth $290 billion today. Hlaudi uses his connections and arrogance to pillage a public institution.

I mean if you did something bad at school, youd get punished, not become head boy, and get to sit on the teachers lap.....

TBH: Who hasn't winged an interview with little fibs here and there to get that dream-job. And once you have it, you better hold on to it. Even better is if you head up the REMCO and award yourself increases :whistle:

But on a more hypothetical view: If the SABC was a proper national (and objective) broadcaster without any political interest/bias and would ensure access to news and entertainment to the broader public and also would drive settop-boxes, VOD/IPTV, wouldn't you think that a salary for a CEO (read: Not Hlaudi, but a visionary) would be industry related and be in the 5-10m/p.a. bracket?

Unfortunately none of the SOEs are performing and neither their boards or executives deserve the job and the salary. I would love to see the SABC financial results to see how much subsidies and license fees they actually received and how much money was actually spend.

A R400m loss per year could just be the tip of the iceberg (i.e. not that bad if their Opex is R420m/p.a. and they only managed to collect revenue of R20m ---- but super bad if they got 3bn in revenue and spent 3.4bn)
