So as was expected "us" noob guilds will attemt Mount Hyjal before we have downed Kael or Vashji (mind those are the only two we have not killed yet in the Eye or SSC).
So we had our first taste of MH last night. The waves of undead were easily handled and even Rage Winterchill went down on our first attemt. But then came Anetheron, we could not get the infernals down fast eneugh, and wiped for 4 times in a row, with our best attemt getting him to 56%.
The fight does seem to require a bit more focus, and maybe we are not ready for it, but it sure as hell was a great experience! How does the next bosses rate to the first two? and how hard is the first stuff in BT?

You'll cope in BT/MH without downing Kael/Vashj... those 2 were sort of the wall u had to climb to reach BT/MH, there are some nice gear upgrades tho (the Rep ring being 1)

First 3 BT bosses will go down within 1 night...

3rd MH boss is a joke, Just as easy as the first, you will struggle with anetheron and kazrogal(4th) and archimonde ofc.

BT's first three bosses are a cakewalk, if your entire raid has more than 8k hp you shuold be fine on first boss, 2nd is a joke 3rd takes some practise.

As far as vashj and kael go, its no big deal u didnt kill them, can assure u most if not all guilds jumped straight to MH/BT after killing them once, only going back on occasion to attune players.

Sounds good, and it is really nice to be able to venture into a new instance!
We will ofc keep going at Kael/Vahsji but maybe gear up a bit more with the new unlocked loot and soon some new badge loot as well.
Guess we will pass BT for a few more weeks and have fun with MH, then give that a go as well. Doing The eye post patch is way to bugged at the moment, but most of the raid still need T5 gear, so we wont abandon that just yet.

How does the next bosses rate to the first two? and how hard is the first stuff in BT?

Kaz'rogal is tank and spank with the only trick being an extra eye on the mana bar if you have one.

Azgalor is tank and spank with the only trick being the ability to move out of RoF and run to the DG spot (Advise near thrall with 1 tank/awake healer)

Archimonde, who would think this man could be so frustrating. Kite the flames and all will be well. Ensure that EVERYONE has the 2 min pvp trinket equipped even those with other ways out (undead, paladins, mages) etc. With that out the way you can start eliminating those people born without a memory who often say things like "Uh, my tear is gone" , "Oops, wrong button"

As already mentioned BT is pretty easy at first.

Naj is tank and spank + spam macro when spined and hope somebody picks it up. Here you will suffer if you the raid has low hp (mages and priests esp since their tier 5 is not stam heavy except for the pieces off the 2 bosses you have not killed)

Supremus is really really really easy, its tank & spank one phase and thaladred the next phase which if you have been trying kael needs no explaining.

Akama is the running comedy show at BT. On your first pull you will down him in 4 minutes and spend the next week wondering if he bugged.

Teron takes some practice and you will quickly be swapping players around since a small % of the worlds population was born with zero hand eye coordination

Bloodboil is the first nice challenge in BT, lots of strain on the healers and since the first few were so easy you reach him quickly and are still 95% in tier 5. Learn to rotate teams, swap tanks and spread out on fel rage. This boss will make you cry for a few hours.

RoS, fun fight, lots of newer ideas. Take it one phase at a time. Don't panic and you will eventually down this boss. Learn each phase alone. On your first pulls focus on reaching phase 2 with everyone up. Then sort deadens and reach phase 3 with 25/25 up. At this point you may commence random trashing of dps until the boss dies.

Mother Shaz, once a wonderful fight full of challenge now a worn out escort with little to 0 challenge. Get the raid capped out in SR and profit. As with Teron remove anyone unable to run in the opposite direction to their FA buddies.

Council. In every raid there is one boss designed purely to make sure you do not raid late in the evening. Raiding past midnight means people are tired and will fall asleep at 70% of this fight. Master the pull, learn to run away from the fire on the ground and shards of ice from the sky. This boss is sure to leave you wondering what the point was.

Illidan, a matter of patience. There will be a night of wiping on phase 2 while the tanks learn control the flames. There will be a night of wiping while healers learn to heal phase 2 and there will be a night of wiping while the eye beam destroys what little dignity the tanks have left. Once you reach phase 3 its a kill. You can then look forward to 50 kills without a glaive while another guild has 2 sets after 20 kills.

Thanks Alchamy :)

We officially got BB down last night (Downed him on Friday, but all 25man instance servers went down half way thru the fight, when they came back BB was dead, lootable and behind his trash :() Teron actually gave us more trouble -.-

Yea, quite a wall of text alchamy, but I enjoyed reading every detail!
Makes me want to see more of these instances, to bad we raid only 2 days a week :(

Grats on Bloodboil Optioncarduser, have no idea yet how hard this fight is, but hope to find out one of these fine days.

Thanks,

/Crossesfinger&toes that you do it with a working Threat meter!

Grats on Bloodboil, once his out of the way things get a lot more fun. RoS/MS/Illidan are all great fights.

Don't bother making the legs. Complete waste of HoD. Make 2 pieces for everyone at first and buy crappy greens off ah. If you got spare hearts you can make 3 pieces.

We also took old tier pieces and socketed/enchanted them for resistance.

Hehe, alrdy on top of the AH greens :p

Got Tab3 + Tab4 stocked on lvl 70 green resistance gear :)

Hyjal Summit is easy mode ... our guild who only killed vashj about 4 times and kael 0. On first week of patch cleared 2/5 hyjal summit and did ssc/tk per usual

2nd week, 4/5 hyjal summit 3/9 bt and got terron to 20% and wiped coz two ppl messed up with the constructs

vent, i hate vent its a bandwidth hog! ... last night they cleared 4/5 HS in one night that was good but sad for me since i wasn't in the raid to get my t6 :P

I have never tried Vent, is it really that much better than TS?

Ah ok, reason i asked, is because in those 2 weeks that was pretty good progress :p

Do you guys find voice comms useful, for us we have never used it. I think the only TBC boss we used voice chat was Illidan at first just to call which side the eye beam was on for the tanks since they can't see anything during phase 2.

alchamy dude

i love you signiture lmfao hahahahahahaha
you got it down perfectly hahahhaha great one dude

My first guild used voice... we went from zg-ragnaros, then when tbc came our we did kara + gruul with Vent

The guild im in now doesnt use voice comms... 4/4tk 6/6ssc 5/9bt and 5/5 mh and progressing without it

The officers opinion is, using voice can help in certain situations, but on the negative side : Explaining tacts before a boss wastes time (trash respwn timers ftl) and shows your raid group hasnt learnt tacts... as well as, constant chatting in vent during a raid 1) Eats bandwidth, that some players struggle with 2) Distract players who should b focusing.
