Mouse random spinning.

Hi

I have a bit of a bit of a problem with my PC mouse.

I recently installed Halflife1 that i found somewhere online,it passed all virus checks but when i played it my player would randomly start spinning around while looking up.This now also happens in all my games,even when i'm not playing a games the mouse would randomly bounce to the one side of the desktop.

Can someone please help me,it's driving me crazy.

There is a hair under your mouse in the optics.

nope,mouse is brand new and it's clean.(bought it today because i thought it would solve the problem)

Mine also does this - it's an optical mouse - no name brand.

I just pick it up and then put it back down, find the mouse cursor and carry on playing.
I did spend a short time looking for mouse drivers that would ignore the mouse traveling at 600km'h, but I found nothing.

Well mine did it after i installed the game.

I had a proline mouse,i bought a IsOne or something mouse.

but a quality mouse. like a logitech one and you won't have problems. that is what happens when you buy cheap stuff. rather buy something decent and pay a little extra.

Yeah, I used to have this problem with my cheap Logitech mouse, then I bought an MX518 and never had it happen since.

That is nonsense. You can get a quality Logitech mouse for about R300 which will last you a flippen long time. Say like the Logitech LS1 Laser mouse...

Lulz, the mouse that I want costs around that much with delivery.
Not much point in wasting money on anything else.

Wasn't the mouse like i said....

I reinstalled the mouse drivers and now i's working fine again.(my proline mouse actually lasted 6 years)

i used to have this problem on a cheap microsoft optical mouse, the intelli range didnt suffer from this problem nor any logitech mouse i have tried. (cheap or expensive) what mouse is it?

Just get a good mouse pad. Got one of those razor mouse pad jobs and spinning is a forgotten point until I saw your post.
