Mouse roller not working

My mouse roller (to scroll up and down) seemed to stop working after a fresh copy of Windows XP.
Opened it up but nothing is lose or wrong.

Any help??

Test another mouse first and see where the problem is.

I would have tried that, but no near PC shop and no extra mouse around.

lol maybe I should try help a bit...

When you move the mouse wheel do you feel little bumps?

another solution would to go to the control panel and reinstall the drivers

A lot of k@k builds up inside the mouse that prevents it from scrolling properly...clean it

ok do this install the drivers of the mouse.or you could restart with the mouse out and then plug it in and see waht windows says.If it says found new hardware device ,you have a problem.
Go to control panel
go to mouse icon
go to advance
delete the driver thats there
restart pc
install drivers from cd
and you on your way
if not then do what that post whore said...

I cleaned it a week ago, really clean now. All the sh1ts gone. It worked before my reinstall.

TIAL - Yes the bumps is still there.

Will have a look at doing a reinstall.
