Intel launches Movidius Compute Stick with built-in AI processor

Intel has announced the launch of the Movidius Neural Compute Stick, a USB drive with an onboard machine learning processor.

This thing looks very cool. I might have to buy one as training deep learning networks on a laptop is a pain in the @$$. Would be very cool for tinkering with stuff like deep dreams without requiring your own cloud server.

For that money you can have your own HPC cloud cluster (albeit only for a few hours at a time).
