Hi Guys,

I just wanna know if anyone else is also having the same problem as me?

There are lines just above the movie area in widescreen mode, and this is irritating the living crap outa me. Its only on MM1. All other channels are perfect.

Then, Im a huge Kenny Vs Spenny fan, and ffs, cmon, dnt repeat the same shows 3 nights in a row man

I have noticed the white line on MM1 too.

And you really should get some help about that Kenny v Spenny problem. ;)

I recall MC saying the lines is a copyright thing... might be wrong.

Have you tried MM1HD ? Maybe its gone.

I get those lines on more than one SD channel - I think it's when you watch wide screen broadcasts on a 4:3 TV. I dunno, can't remember. Try play around with aspect ratio on decoder, may fix it, or else it's another bug.

I also get those flickering lines on my 4:3 TV. Very annoying, stops me from using that display mode. And you watch K vs S? What, there's absolutely nothing else to watch? ;)

I have both a HDLCD and a projector - its on both. (16:9) - I also have a CRT (4:3) in the bedroom... its not there.

lol, Why are Multichoice worried about people copying stuff? by the time they release something it has already been plastered all over the internet months in advance, in proper quality

I get them on every CRT TV I watch MM1 on but not on either my full HD nor HD Ready panels. I thought it had something to do with the audio track?

I get those lines on MM2 as well.
Fortunately I dont watch too many movies, though the lines realy peed me off during Pacific :(

Lines appear on BBC News too. I however don't see the lines when I'm connected via HDMI because I just change the aspect ratio to full screen which looks better than stretch. It's all the WS shows that display the lines.

If you set the aspect ratio of your decoder to 16:9 and pillar box I think that the white lines should disappear IIRC.

The lines are line 23 info, they are usually in the overscan area of the TV and not visible. IIRC it's the way the MC box handles the letterboxing of WS content. They have finally admited that it's a bug and a software upgrade to fix it is imminent :D

That word should be banned.

No, that's really messed up. You need to reverse the bug so you get lines on your crt and not on your hd.
