Movie Mini-Review Thread - Part IV

Cold Storage. 5/10

Fine for when you have nothing else to watch.
 
They call me Trinity - 1970
Not sure why I started watching Spaghetti westerns, but I think I may prefer this over the Dollar trilogy, though Clint Eastwood as "Joe" man with no name is quintessential cowboy we imagine today.
But Spencer and Hill are pretty good in this, it's a pretty straight forward story, lazy never do well gun fighter rides into town, his brother is the "sheriff" after he shot the real one accidentally. In reality he's just a horse thief biding his time for his gang.
They then find out some rich dude wants to steal land from farmers who don't want to fight back, the gun fighter falls for two sisters and decides to help. It's cheesy, it's Spaghetti western, but I think Spencer and Hill just pull it off a bit differently to how other actors do.
Still funny to see Italians pretending to be Americans in the "wild" west.

Not as good as Dollar trilogy, imo.

But Bud Spencer was a genius)) enjoyed it a lot.
They were a great team.

Clint carries a lot in the Dollar trilogy, whereas with They call me Trinity there is a better feel. Bud Spencer really was a genius, dude spoke multiple languages, built roads and bridges, flew planes, started an airline, acted, was a gold medalist and and. Acting he just fell into as a friend asked him to act in a movie.

Finally a few movies worth seeing. God damn it’s been bad since covid.
