It's weird. They cant mention John Clarke in the Jack Ryan series, and they probably can't mention Jack Ryan in this movie world.

I've read the book and it's in no way anything like it. Haven't watched it.

Yep, as I said. Not a good Clancy movie, but not a bad movie for what it is.

Great song.... plot will probably make no sense at all and half the characters will probably have strange genitalia....

I actually enjoyed it (the magic looks cool) right up until the comedy bit at the end with the Avengers quip...then it felt meh very quick. The comedy felt off and I wish Marvel would keep some of these stories self-contained rather than constantly referencing other stuff in the Marvel universe...it pulls me out of the movie.

Watched it again - last piece is still very stupid compared to the rest. Kumail Nanjiani looks out of place - like he's sitting on an SNL skit waiting to tell a joke and then does that forced laugh thing.

Keep it in the MCU, but keep it more serious. The 2 Hulk movies are part of the MCU, but are not comedic in any shape or form.

Marvel have a problem with humor - what they did with fat Thor was absurd...they push things into the realm of stupid and don't know when to reel it in. But yeah - this movie had a cool fantasy vibe the whole way until the funny stuff.
