Hi
Currently my line is with Telkom. Any benefit in moving the line to an ISP? I need to upgrade the speed and not sure if it's easier and less painful to do with an ISP or with telkom.
Is the process seamless with no downtime?
Which isp to move to?

In a nutshell - don't! You will have downtime. And id you ever want to move it back, you will have more downtime. I've been without Adsl for 8 days now, mostly thanks to Telkom's incompetence. I told the guy at the call centre about 5 times that I wanted to move my line back to telkom(it's currently in the holding pool). Next afternoon at 16:45 I get a call from my new isp asking if I want to move my line to them.

Don't.

Just call telkom for the speed upgrade, it's quick.

Don't do it. Ask yourself? Do i want to save R50 or so? Or do i want a big headache?

Thanks for the advice everyone
