Hi there,

I’m in the process of moving my ADSL service provider to Web Africa. They have asked that I request that it be put in a holding pool. Does anyone know how to go about doing this? I called Telkom & spent 30mins on hold. My wife also called & was told she need to do this via the internet...?

Regards, Gary

I am doing similar, since this past saterday,

However my current ISP requested to be moved to the holding pool, so that the number available for new isp to take it over,

yet i am getting no joy, i just spend over an hour holding for Telkoms call centre department, to get to the wrong department and be told they cannot help me i need to contact 10213 to get assistance there.

I just want to get the number back to the wholesale pool, so new isp can take it over, yet seems its not a 24 hour thing to do like my previous ISP said it would be.

For the love of God, keep it with Telkom!
I moved mine to Crystal Web, and amd now sitting for over a week with no internet. Nobody can help me until Crystal Web/Evonet release the line.

The line has already been released if you currently have no internet. If your line is syncing, but there's no connection, you're already in the holding pool. Your new ISP needs to pick up the phone and get in touch with Openserve to fix the problem.
