Moving cities, steps to retain ADSL?

Good afternoon,

I've been with MWEB for several years now (uncapped, unshaped, unlimited, un-everything! 4MB line) -- yes I know, but it's almost not worth the hassle considering a move to a different ISP.

I'm moving to a different town and would like advice, please. The new home does not have an existing active line, but it is set up with the necessaries. I've checked and it is not in the fibre zone as well. Maybe a move up to VDSL? I estimate that I use about 150-200 GB per month, if that. Not a gamer, but I download torrents here and there == my Scandinoir and other programmes not available in SA. Maybe unlimited is unnecessary?

What are the steps I need to take? Simply get an active line through Telkom, and then inform MWEB of the change in tel number? My line is with Telkom at the moment, not Mweb.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. :)

Many thanks

If you are covered by Fibre, then do the application for that and get rid of ADSL / VDSL nonsense... You will get better service (depending on the Fibre company) by far... Also, bigger bang for buck (even though you are a low usage client)

Thanks for the reply. Just checked again, and I'm NOT in the fibre zone. Literally two streets out of the zone.
