Not sure what their correct name is. Companies that move your stuff from city to city. Furniture movers I suppose? I know the famous one is that one with the green trucks. Forgot their name.

Any other recommendations? Also any idea of approximate charges from GP to WC?

Stuttaford van lines! That's the one.

There are just too many. Eezi move, abmovers, greylings transport etc etc

Need to get 3 quotes by don't know which 3 to choose.

If you want to use a reputable company be prepared to pay an arm and a leg

they charge on total weight and distance, if you have to use a shuttle as well (some complexes don't allow big trucks in). and odd shaped or heavy items are charged extra.

Biddulphs. Used them for a household move and also heavy machinery (a woodworking plant). 100% both times. Cost was about R 27000. Needed separate insurance though

Thanks! Ab and eezi were amongst the top results google brought up :p
remember that advert on tv where the side of the truck falls away and the stuff fell out? "...and there goes my only possessions, there goes my everything" :D
As for googlez...when you type in the word "wimp", the first 2 results is an online video store and some computing definition in wiki :p

Can also recommend Biddulphs, nothing lost/scratched, easy move

Elliiots I will never use again, broke the headrest of the king size bed, scratched the dresser to ribbons, family heirlooms cannot even get it replaced anymore, best antique restorer could do was glue the pieces back.

Do not schedule pickup/delivery for a monday or a friday. Monday still hung over from weekends party, friday in too much of a hurry to get to the weekend party)

Thanks. Requested quotes from stuttafords and biddulphs. Still debating who else.

I don't really need anyone too reputable since I'm transporting junk anyway.

Do they assemble/disassemble? For example, will they take apart a bed during collection then reassemble it when they deliver?

They will but it is going to cost extra and they will lose half of the parts they need to reassemble.

Three Quotes? Stutterfords, Biddulfs and Elliot. Some Household insurances cover moves. Check, you could save. Short term insurance is expensive.
