Moving from Openserve Webafrica to another ISP?

I have had FTTH via Webafrica (through Openserve) for almost a year.

Endless hassles with Webafrica prompted me to give 1 months notice to them on 31 July, fibre line and data to both be terminated with them end of August. When I processed the online cancellation on the fibre line, it asked whether i wanted the line to remain active (moving to another ISP). To this I answered yes.

So, what's the deal now, I must choose another ISP that works with Openserve and tell them that I am moving from one ISP to another? No need for installations etc? Is that about right?

Thanks

In theory yes, but the way things go currently is you would need to cancel the line with WA and apply new elsewhere, Openserve doesn't have a transfer system as yet. Let me know if you would like a trial account to test for a while on our network?

Thanks, yes, reading the forums Cool Ideas is one of the often recommended providers. Do you only offer uncapped home products?

So, what do I need to do/say to WA in order to be truly rid of them come end of August if we simply can't transfer lines?
And would the setup/activation of the line with a new ISP take time? Will I incur downtime?

Thanks
