Hi.

I am moving house in 2 weeks.

I was under the impression you could transfer my service from my existing Vuma box to the existing Vuma box in the new address.

Your support tells me I have to give 30 days notice to cancel the old service and then essentially take up a new service with you?

Is this really the way I have to do this?

Seems it would be faster to sign up for a new service in the new house if I have to pay you penalties anyway?

Please advise?

@PBCool

Yes comrade, best to choose another provider if they require a full calendar.

Is it Trenched to Trenched?

Yes.

Both on Vumatel.

Both houses (my current, and the new one) already have a Vumatel box in the house.
PM me your account details should be able to make a plan.

I just noticed this thread. I was also told the same line.

Now blessed with paying for two Cool Ideas packages, neither of which actually work. I feel like a complete idiot.

Unfortunately no way to transfer services with Vumatel, or any FNO for that matter which the connect team would have been pretty clear about.

Where are you up to currently?

Ah sorry. It sounded like you made a plan for requiem above?

I'm nowhere. I have no working Vuma line. I have had nine days of dithering and circular support calls. The word 'escalation' has no meaning anymore. It's a void of endless ISP expenses for no actual service.

When any ISP "escalates" anything, it is their way of telling you they cant do **** and will forget about you as soon as the call ends.

I have an Openserv line installed with Axxess. Line was installed 3 weeks ago but according to Axxess support the install has not been done as my area is still in pre-planning. My neighbor has fibre

Can you give me one of your refs so I can investigate?

#COOL-20211122-819741 (new service)
#COOL-20211122-819670 (old service relocation)

Literally moved to a new apartment in the same complex. It's all wired on Vuma. Was specifically told I couldn't just move my 100mb service to the new apartment, forcing me to forego the month's cancellation.

Exactly we can't just move the service as mentioned before, unfortunately this is how fibre providers work.

Let me see what I can do.
