so how does this work

i am currently with mweb

they say that if i move i need to cancel with mweb and apply for a line with new service provider

they can only activate wheh mweb releases the line and there could be downtime of 3-5days

is the 3-5 days real cause thats along time to be without fibre

what are the other options ?

Hi, who is your fibre provider? It typically be the same day as the line being released.

Depends on your fno. I was with mweb/octotel I canceled two months before the time because I know mweb and they'll mess it up somehow and blame it on me. Anyways octotel was fast and by fast they switched me over the day mweb and me decided to cancel their services. So depending on your fno I can advise you to cancel 30 days minimum. The last 1-2 weeks before the time you're disconnected place an order with your new isp depending on your fno they'll contact you and confirm the date you wish to connect to your new isp. Hopefully everything will go smoothly as with mine
