Moving Telkom lines into new house

Hi guys,

I've recently purchased a new house which I plan to move into middle of next month.

What would be the most painless way to get ADSL in the new property. Call Telkom and tell them to cancel my lines, then re-apply, or tell them I'm moving and ask them to transfer? (I don't think this is possible due to number changes, etc?)

Depends on whether the house is in the same area. If it is, you can move the phone number (My mate managed this, so it is definitely possible). Maybe if the number is the same, then it could be easier to move the ADSL.

if on the same exchange, transfer.

if not, cancel and reapply. on the same call. keep both reference numbers. mine was done in about a week.
