I am moving from Nedbank to FNB. Does anyone know which account to use for simple banking.

I don't use my debit card more than 4 times a month. How is the online banking, (eg can I buy Data bundles online).

Good Choice

Yes you can buy data online

Try their SmartAccount (blue cards) - cheap cheque account with a debit card.

If you're earning more than a R100k it makes sense to go for a Gold Cheque Card from FNB, get eBucks too.

FNB rocks, I was with Nedbank too but I haven't looked back

I have a netbank account and an FNB gold credit card.
I noticed that the netbank charges are very high...is FNB much cheaper?

Why are you going away from Nedbank?

It's a flat rate. I pay about R120 all in (overdraft, second fuel card etc). I used to pay SB about R300 in bank charges each month.

Bought 1.5 GB data bundles using Online Banking, the transcation went through this time(usually throws an error if buying over 1 Gb). But I was never credited with the bundles on Vodacom, so I complained to Vodacom, who told me its a Nedbank problem, called Nedbank which admitted its an error in their system, On monday I was told it will take 7 days to get my money back. called again today, got told I will get it by friday. Other signs include weird noises when calling their call center, that put me off for a while until I noticed the airtime was charged, and it was not some telecommunication issue. oh and I have heard good things about FNB(even though I used to be a hater)

I just don't want to be like "Steve" anymore.:D
