I'm going to be getting a external hard drive for my laptop because it's been really slow lately and I feel I need to free up some space. My concern is that I want to move my softwares (.exe) to the hard drive but I believe that it won't just work like that.

How can I do this?

You can move the .exe that was used to install the software but if you just remove the .exe that starts the application it wont work.

Other will suggest you copy the whole folder to the external then run it from there, but I personally wouldn't do that.

What does the application have to do with moving the torrents?

The Application is probably quite small so leave that in Program Files where it belongs. Move the actual Torrent data to a new location or better yes just set a new "complete" folder on the new drive so it gradually moves everything there as it finishes.

Also this has nothing to do with Software or Web Development.
