Moving Vumatel Raycore CPE to another location

I want to move some things around my house and it makes sense to move the Vumatel Raycore CPE to another wall in the same room. There is plenty slack on the fibre cable in the roof so it is a trivial exercise with no fibre tools needed. Just wondering if I will get any issues from Vumatel down the line if I have "tampered" with their equipment. There is nothing on the FAQ on their site and no warnings on the device itself other than the warranty will be void if i remove the sticker covering a screw that i will need to remove. I guess they will probably want me to use one of their installers which is probably going to be a hefty call out charge.
 
Why do you want to move the CPE?

Can't you leave it where it is and run a LAN cable

I would move it... or like Hamish said, run a LAN cable.
 
I just had my line installed today and had a look at how the CPE was installed. That sticker is not over a screw needed to remove the CPE unit, it is just for getting to the insides of the CPE. The CPE just clips onto the wall bracket, so you can just unclip it.

I specifically asked and the installer said you are welcome to move the unit yourself just unlclip the CPE from the wall mount, unplug the fibre point from the CPE, and unscrew the mount and move it to where you would like. He just said to be careful not to kink the fibre cable as that will then require a callout to replace which will cost you money.

Same here. I watched them fit mine. The sticker was there before they clipped it in. Still not exactly sure how it would unclip though. You obviously wouldn't want to break any clips.

Absolutely, got about half way through writing part 2, just need to finish it up. Some sometime this week for sure.
 
I moved mine a while ago, but I had loads of slack on the incoming fiber line. Just don't bend the fiber cable too much otherwise you will be in for a few $$$.
