Mowbray, Cape Town ADSL problems

Line is terribly slow almost all day. Youtube videos take forever to load or simply don't load. Can basically only do web browsing and local music streaming (eg. KFM website)

1Mbps line (now supposed to be 2Mbps?)
ISP is Afrihost (capped)
Time of day: All day
Exchange: Rondebosch WRBS

I work from home most days and the internet is perfect but as soon as 5 pm hits I get a massive hit on my download speeds where watching a youtube video is impossible but before 5pm I can stream perfectly at 360p. I have logged a complaint with my ISP Mweb so I will update this post after they call me tonight.

Yeah, I'm not staying in Mowbray anymore, but the whole time I was there our uncapped 1mbps line was slow..
I'm in Hout Bay now and the line here is almost always good, I called mweb several times while in the area but nothing changed the fact that you had to sit and wait for long periods just for Youtube videos

I might consider changing from Afrihost to webafrica, as that made a difference in Observatory round the corner per this thread:
