Lol killa, have you forgotten about the threads that popped up a while back about ISPs sending people emails because they were downloading illegal material via p2p?

That was news servers/torrents if i recall and the only reason they are doing is because people are pulling 100's of gb's of pirate goods, costing them money.

They do not want people pulling down pirated goods on uncapped lines, not in this country man.

Scare tactics i reckon. P2P is basically dead and full of virus's, torrents and nzb's rein supreme.

Your ISP can trace it and they can lay charges against you. Then the matter could get worse if the other music bodies get hold of this. This is why I prefer using news servers.

so an ISP can check what you take from a P2P app while a newsreader blocks this somehow?

If your abusing an uncapped line you will get an email saying you must stop or blah blah but local only accounts and what not, they do not care.

i got nothing to worry about then- 1GB 384kbps

I just top up if I download a movie sometimes.

yeah, like i said. i will top up sometimes at R64/GB from Telkom. use credit card. no issues really. download a movie once in a while.
