MP4 player - cheapy china make

Guys I have gotten a small video player from china. I wouldn't call it a mp4 player course it don't play mp4's.

it plays .AMV and .MTV files.
I have tried many times to convert video files, but it don't want to play on the player
Any help pls?

I remember reading an e-bay guide on these mp4 players that
usually look like ipod nanos, remember they mentioned these unusual formats but cant remember if they gave info on converting.

Have you ever try to convert your files to .mp4 format? Maybe you need a converter.
