Hey guys, please to any of you that are going if you get the chance to pose any questions, well I would reaaaallly like to know the following:

1. The obvious question, why for some people is the connection decent, while for others it's absolute ****e!?
2. Do they intend to fix the problems by the 1st of September , and by fix we mean not "Above 4kbps" we mean in region that can adequately be labled 128k or 256k or whatever the package you're on.
3. Why whenever I open a bittorrent or a p2p connection do ALL my speeds go to ****? I've noticed a few people complain about this. Is this their way of "moderating" the "Abusive" users on the network? Even though I'm not getting above 0.5K/s off bittorrent suddenly I have no speed whatsoever when I use it,same with p2p.
4. Why are local speeds as **** as international?

That's all I can think of for now but I reckon everyone should list the things they want mentioned at the meeting here too, and those that are going also say what they're going to mention. PLEASE , this is a big opportunity, let's nail this ****er to the wall and finally get some answers.

- Love and peace and all that :)

You'll probably find the sentech "network admins" will dedicate bandwidth to the tower that will cover the hotel. So demonstrations will probably be pointless.

Or .... good news maybe? They sort out everything today, and tonight speeds will be back to normal (yeah-right) [:)]

iBurst not yet...but planned. Sentech has no plans it seems. Sentech's closest tower is halfway gardens but without antenna the signal strength is about 1%.

MW128, Tower 60(Northpark Plaza), Signal:16%,S-N-L: 7, BER: 45%

Ok I have here with me an article from "African Wireless Magazine". It talks about the technology behind Sentech MyWireless. The title of the article is

"Could Africa become the global leader in next generation wireless broadband?"

There are also sorts of technical info there (UMTS, CDMA, WCDMA, UMTS, TDD and TD_SCDMA).

Now I have probably broken all copyright laws about distribution of the content and what have you.

It is a 1.1MB pdf document and it seems my dyndns client isn't working so i cannot access my pc from here. So I can't host it anywhere. I could mail to anyone interested though.

Any takers ?

it was safer for him i could not make it ...

in all honesty i am a loose cannon of the worst kind and i should be taking medication for it but it interferes with my life to much ...

i was in a bad accident a while back [hospital for 4 months] and my brains were scrambled a bit as a result i have TLE (Temporal Lobe Epilepsy) a rather nasty bugger and when i loose it i go balistic in a rather spectaclar way right now i have a reason to loose it :)
