Can someone please explain?

1. I use the MS Outlook platform to access my emails.
2. My IT SP is MWEB.
3. I have different email accounts set up for different clients/projects (that is how they prefer communicating).
4. How is it possible that some emails and meeting invitations addressed to email address#1 ends up in the inbox of email address#2?

Check with ISP.

Alias emails perhaps configured incorrectly on server side....

Check your Outlook account settings - may be you are using the same .pst file for different accounts? That is how mine are set up, but I have done so deliberately.

The method may vary slightly according to your Outlook version:

  • In Outlook, go to File tab, and open the Account Settings
Select the Data Files tab - there you will see which .pst files are being used
Change the settings at your own risk; it is in any case advisable to make sure you have a backup first.

Why are you using mweb accounts instead of a 'vanity' domain (i.e. @blunomore.co.za).
It's really inexpensive and makes you look so much more professional

Check if your different email addresses are separate mailboxes, or aliases of one mailbox. With MWeb, typically you have aliases of a single mailbox, and either set of credentials will work. If you check email in Outlook, whichever account checks first will get the messages from the mailbox.
