OK I am an admitted idiot about this. My son has an Xbox 360 that I registered for Live using an SA address with a UK postcode. Now the boy wants to buy MS points - no luck, like others I see from reading here and around the place - credit card can't be authorised, attempts to fudge the CC billing address to a San Francisco zip code also unsuccessful.

I see Pearljam's thread on one online points retailer, and am apprehensive about trying that!

How can I get the boy some points that will validate on his ( supposedly UK ) 360? Are there local retailers who stock them?

I see from :

http://www.xbox.com/en-US/live/features/microsoftpoints.htm

that the 2100 point card is supposedly usable as stated thus:

Microsoft Points purchased from a retail store can only be applied to accounts registered to the same country where the retail store is located. The only exception is the 2100 point card (available in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa), which is universal throughout those regions.

But where can I get one?

Help please!

Take2 has them ... but they're kinda pricey.

Google will probably tell you about other places to get them ...

Take2 is a local retailer, but as mas said, they're at a bit of a premium.

A few people have used that online site (http://www.gamepointsnow.com/ ), I've heard 2 positive reports so far and no negatives. If my "connections" fail me I'll try them myself.

Your other option is ebay.co.uk, just email the sellers and find out if they're prepared to email you the code rather than actually shipping it.

Thanks very much for the responses - I am trying Take2 for now. Your help is appreciated.

shyte, I'll wait for my verification letter from gamepointsnow rather, apparently it only takes a few days.

*cries*

Thanks for rubbing salt in my wounds.

No! Trying to help! For your computer not your Xbox!
