Hi
I have a Microsoft wireless mouse and keyboard 3000 series at my desk. The USB wireless dongle/adapter that comes with the mouse and keyboard, which is normally plugged into my docking station, has suddenly gone “missing”, whilst I was out of the office. It could have been stolen, or someone could have mistaken it for a USB flash drive or a 3G modem and “taken” it.
:wtf:
Apparently, the keyboard and mouse are useless without the dongle, which just perplexes me as the combo is still new. All the suppliers I speak to tell me that I need to replace the entire package.
Does anyone have any advice or suggestions as to how I can rescue this situation?
- Can I get buy a replacement dongle/adapter from anyone?
- Is there a generic dongle that the combo will work with?
It’s for a:
Microsoft Wireless Keyboard 3000 v2.0
MS Part no: X820309-009
Microsoft Wireless Mouse 5000
MS Part no: X820593-005
Thanks
