Hi Guys

I would like to get some feedback from you guys.

I have the XP S2 version on my laptop.
I did an update Friday night.

This is the problem.

Since the update my OS has been giving some weird errors. This is brining me to my question.

Could it be that MS is forcing us to move to VISTA via MS updates ?
Pls let me know what happened to yours after the update, this is very concerning. No real problem of the bat but you'll see some wierd errors while running certain programmes.

And yes it is a Valid copy on the Laptop.

No. Would be my answer... but conspiracy theorists might disagree.

The name of the thread nearly made me completely ignore it, we didn't need another topic like this :p

Well I'm just asking. Like I said this started on Saturday morning after the update the night before.

If there r more cases like this then there is a problem, if not then I *&^$ up somewhere. :D

I don't like running updates - they tend to make your system more unstable and/or run more slowly. Only for really really severe holes like the jpeg or wmf stuff do I get updates. A good firewall and using a browser other than IE will take care of 99.9% of the potential risks you face on the internet.

So just install XP with SP2, install a good thirdparty firewall and get a decent browser and you're sorted. :p
