Anybody here know how to do MSDN downloads without having to use the shocking Microsoft File Transfer Manager?

I'm downloading the DVD ISO of Visual Studio 2005 (2800 MB!) and it's skipping along at anything from 7 - 25 KB/s - so at this rate I have about 100 hours to go before I can start downloading the next item (Windows Vista CTP) . I'd give anything to be able to use FlashGot and have 4 concurrent threads.

D'oh.

Nope. Dead end dude.

Make soure you configure their fantastic tool to use more than one session at the same time [max is 2] - should improve your speed say 0.0000000001 %.

I've complained about that crap utility about 12 times already - nobody cares - sigh.

Bollocks.

Thanks for the reply anyway. Good karma for you should the scales ever make a comeback :)

Have you tried giving MS a call and getting a CD?

VS 2005 was only RTM yesterday, so I don't know if it would be available on other media yet. The Vista CTP might be though...
