Hey I have a Pentium 2 motherboard and just bought me this graphics card but when I install it it doesn't work my display stays on 4bit and the card gives me the message code 12 not enough resources. Can anyone help?

Thanx I'm getting a Pentium 3 motherboard with a 1 gig CPU do u think it would work on there?

Isnt that a AGP 8x card?
Didnt pentium2's use pci gfx cards? I cant remember too long ago...
Dude id rather go for a cheap modern cpu like a septron/celeron instead of a p2/p3, quite alot has changed you will have alot of compatibility problems( pci express, agp, sata ect.)

Yip...you had Pentium 2's with AGP....but mayby the slot is only AGPx2 and therefor giving you display problems

OKkkkkkk....here we go

Testbed.... Some BX100 Low Budget P2 Motherboard, Celeron 333 Slot1, 64Mb PC100 SDRAM, AGP Slot

Right....here i've got a Gigabyte Geforce FX5200 let's see what it does....

..ok it starts up fine.....installing compatible drivers......restarting....back in windows and the colours are still messed up.....reinstall again....

ok...after updating directx and drivers and and and...its seems there's no chance of running this card in this machine...same 8Bit Colour S**t in windows....and the occasional BSOD....probably the AGPx8 card in the x2 slot....

Time to upgrade your pc my friend

850 could get u a semptron and a new board

or a 3.0 celeron and a m/b

dont pay 850 for a p3 and motherboard

decent vga card 7300gt much better than your currect is around 500-600 bucks

Old pc's are okay for surfing and a bit of office, but, unfortunately you need a reasonably current rig to play games. If cost is a factor, you're better off with a console for games.
