There seems to be a general contention that our news reporting sucks. IOL can't even spell the headlines correctly and the Sun likes to get as many facts as humanly possible dead wrong.

Now, it seems, there is a new contender.

MSNBC.com, the website owned by some conniving bastards, has taken off its kid gloves.

Take a peek at this...

MSNBC

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/34365895/ns/health-cold_and_flu/

Nearly 10 000 US deaths caused by swine flu

That is a lot.

10 000/300 000 000

= 1 in 30 000

When you go further down you find the figures they believe are correct.

1 per 100 000

There's just some stupidity. Bum facts in an MSNBC article? Not a good sign.

Now check this out...

WHO figures

http://www.ctvbc.ctv.ca/servlet/an/...aths_091219/20091219/?hub=BritishColumbiaHome

The World Health Organization said Friday that at least 10,582 people have died from swine flu

That is a bit different. 10 582/6.7 billion

That's 1 in 633 150.

Accidents on this level are not supposed to happen. MSNBC is a news site owned by major news provider NBC who is in turn owned by a Fortune 100 company and a trusted news source for millions of people.

Personally I think it's pure scaremongering. One of the top articles listed on google news and it's facts are horribly wrong.

General Electric

As some of you may or may not know, General Electric owns MSNBC.

And if their scaremongering tactics weren't outrageous enough, this might be...

http://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/169173.php

American Centers for Disease Control has chosen General Electric to provide updates on swine flu activity for the government.

And don't forget about GE's giant Healthcare division.

The monitor for swine flu activity in America just happens to have a scaremongering news wing through NBC.

:wtf:

There seems to be a general contention...drivel...drivel...drivel...

Based on your posts here on mybb you fit the profile of a Faux "news" viewer. What seems to be a genuine mistake you try to paint a picture only faux "news" is capable of.

I don't even see your point here...dude get a life, iol reported Shabir's response on Sunday out of context...its got fckall to do with wrong headlines.

Scaremongering my @ss...why is it that the scammer always points out scams?

...dude get a life

Mybb clearly isn't following its "no under 18s" policy very tightly. I'd rather not even say what picture other posters form based on your posts. I don't "view" news too often and certainly not Faux news.

Most people don't read multiple news sources. They see 10 000 US deaths caused by swine flu, and rush off to get a shot that hasn't been tested, has been recalled in many regions and contains adjuvants that have been linked to the deadly Gulf War Syndrome.

The facts were wrong. They aren't going to fix it. And a news site of that size sets the example for all others. And of course, scaremongering is a great way to keep people glued to their news sources.

MSNBC is not news, its a propiganda machine. No I don't watch FOX, at all! But I know enough to know how media controlls the nations.
