Interesting problem.

Upgraded to Fibre - 40 meg.

I'm getting close to 40 on my downloads (38-39) but only getting a max of 2.9 up.

Tested with Telkom Router and Tenda Router and get full upload speed (19-20).

My MT is not heavily configured with Firewall routes or QoS etc and I'm now officially stumped after digging into all the settings I can think of (Firewall, Interfaces, Ethernet Port speeds, etc).

Any help or clues as to where I else I can look would be hugely appreciated.

PS: Those are the wired speeds - weird thing is if run wireless speedtest (Ubiquiti Unifi AP hardwired to the router then I get close to 8 on upload with bursts through to 20)

Edit: Ok, seems it's something to do with my primary PC - when I test from another wired PC connected to the Mikrotik I get the full 20 upload...

Update: Found the culprit.

xFast Network Card driver that comes installed with the ASRock Motherboard.

Got rid of that sucker and full speed ahead she steams :D

Upgrading is such a double edged sword.

I'm now thinking of upgrading my standard Unifi APs (2xAP and 1xLR) to the AP-PRO that can support the 5 Ghz channel so that the wireless devices can take full advantage of the increased speed.

You don't need the pro version unless it is for the 3x3 diversity antenna. The Lite and LR versions also supports dual band. But I am talking about the AC versions.

Thanks.

Can the AC and AP / LR versions co exist in one network (including being able to wirelessly adopt etc)
