I Upgraded handsets a few days ago and ever since then i havent been able to browse the net.

Unfortunately a series of events since upgrade leaves me not sure what the issue could be.

My Account was suspended, Came back online yesterday when the debit order came off. MTN have a *****y billing system whereby your limit consists of almost 3 months worth of billing of which i had reached my R1000 over three months and as such my account was suspended. The debit order came off and the account became unfrozen but i can make / receive calls send sms but not browse the net i'm wondering if that portion of the account / sim is sill frozen.

I noticed next to my signal indicator that i no longer have the 'E' with the two arrows next to it like i had on my e-65 i just have the regular Antennae symbol.

Connecting to the internet tells me " Packet Date not available Check network services "

Any ideas

try doing a *123*13# command to get your settings maybe the settings are not on your phone and once you have them try restarting your phone

Howzit thanks.

Have saved both the GPRS and MMS Over the Air Settings several times as well as gone through the setup wizard on the phone to pick the settings up from the network/operator

I'm tinking i should be seeing something like this next to my signal bar:

Thanks again

yeah that looks right but have you tried the connection yet and is it working?

Nopes connections not working, thats just an image i took ff the web of how i think my signal indicator is looking and what leads me to believe my sim is not registering correctly on the network which is why it's only picking up GSM

um ok try this. put sim in old phone or another phone and see if it does the same. and make sure it has the settings. and then let me know.

if it works in the other phone then you need to take the phone back to the SP and get them to replace the handset cos that does not sound right

very weird but i'm pleased to say all's working somehow dont ask me how i suspect the Network Re-Activation i requested from the data call center for my sim may have done the trick.

Thanks
