MTN: 3G! or... uh... not...

So, I've got my new Ericsson w890i phone, on MTN. It supports 3G, right?

Then why have I only seen that little 3G icon (in the top, left corner) ONCE IN THREE WEEKS?

I'm in Rondebosch, Cape Town. Where's the MTN 3G network? Is there one? It seems that the reception and capacity of the network is so bad that, 99% of the time, my fancy 3G phone sits on the normal GSM network.

sucks dude...think they're upgrading the networks everywhere slowly, i've got coverage in durbanville/bellville, but never had coverage in stellenbosch till late last year so ya...but rondebosch should have, maybe its got to do with the mountains and bad reception who knows?

I got no coverage in my house from MTN (3G/HSDPA) Dunno why exactly. Im in Vierlanden area.
