Dear MTN Users & MTN Helpdesk,

I stay in Gerdview, Primrose area, and specifically changed from Vodacrap(com) to MTN due to the fact that MTN has absolutely outstanding 3G signal levels in this area, and Vodacom only picked up GPRS, hence the change over.

I have had phenominal service and 3G signal from MTN ever since I changed over, now all of a sudden, since this morning 13/03/2012 at round 9:03am, I have not been able to pick up one shred on 3G signal from MTN, no matter where I went to in Johannesburg, it was all EDGE signal.

I had then purchased a Uncapped 24 hour Data Bundle from MTN @ R50 a shot. Now all I was getting was mediocre signal and was completely unable to browse the internet, let alone check my emails for my business and I do rely on the 3G signal for 95% of my business.

Please could someone else who's using MTN or an MTN consultant enlighten me as to why the signal was on EDGE capable this entire day, and as I type this message at 23:48pm, I still cannot pick up your 3G signal.

I am using a Blackberry 9900 Bold and have never had a problem like this before.

Please someone advise or help me out here.

Thanking you, and regards,

Greg.
Proudly MTN supporter (till they fix the 3G signal)

Oh dear, the 3G signal came back, now guess what. Its GONE again. Yoh I'm on the verge of changing networks AGAIN.

Anyone else struggling to get 3G Signal of late on MTN?

I struggle in Midrand, but it's been shyte since I moved there. I don't know if it's a tower problem or what, but I have changed my phone to only work on EDGE. Better than replacing the phone

Don't feel so bad now, as 3G is down in Durban as well. No 3G no Edge, nothing...

Cape Town also dog slow. Anybosy else in CT experiencing slow internet via MTN ?

Grahamstown, full 3G/Hsdpa, good speeds. small town with nothing to do...at least we have decent signal :)
