MTN Active - From bad to worse!!!

My experience

I am using Firefox.
I went to https://www.mtnactive.co.za/mtnsc/ and got the 'Enable Javascript' message and turned off script blocker, then re-entered the url. I entered my phone no and pin and was taken to the terms and conditions page and after agreeing, I was taken to the new account page... all seems fine to me... I am an old customer. Tested with both my procall 220 and data card bundles. What would really be helpful is a daily / weekly statement email - like my internet banking offers.

Walk like a pre-beta version

Odd that I would continuously have problems with the old callquest in both IE and firefox, yet nothing major on the "upgraded" billing info system...

The only issue I have is that MTN had given me a sex change without my knowledge along with a second name. I asked them to correct the details today via a query submission, so let's see how long it takes...

In the meantime just refer to me as It, as I may just get gender confused and end up having everything removed for the sake of my own sanity.

Also, the latest statement is that of October. Hmm... I say nothing more.

Still Not Working For Me W.t.f. Mtn , Get Your Act Together

Your session has timed out , is this the best MTN can do

I've now tried 3 browsers from 2 locations via 2 ISP's, all of which kind of rules out anything my side.

I've tried submitting on their web site on a few occasions. The first time I got reply telling me that callquest had been superseded (the reason I chose the callquest heading was that their dropdown hasn't been updated and this description is the closest to Active ) and the second and subsequent posts haven't elicited a response.

I guess they're trying to emulate Telkom's level of support.

I still have no probs..

Plus, after submitting a query, they corrected my personal details. Which is amazing! Even under the wrong heading!

Something up... And I am worried it might be MTN waking ...

working for me now , made no changes at all

had a look at my unbilled statement , MTN has charged me for calls to 1761(MTN ACTIVE) , I was told this a free number , this is absolutely ridiculous

MTN Active sucks! it has half the features of callquest :(

Wow, MTN Active is just so spectacularly poorly implemented! It seems to be able to do what CallQuest could, but it is a mission to find out how.

I hate to be the one to beta test my service provider's website, but please take the "under consrtuction" page off www.mtnactive.co.za - it is just plain pathetic.

Finally got MTN Active working. Navigation really sucks!

Sometimes one navigates from drop-down lists, other times from horizontal hyper links. No consistency, just plonk it on the screen somewhere.

Talk about user unfriendly!!!

And to add to the pain, my address is that of 10 years ago - go figure!!! - and I am not allowed to submit a change:
Sorry, your query could not be logged at this time. Please try again later.
User .... is not permitted to create the note.

THey said you could do more

I can't find any history statements. I could do this on callquest - I can't print older invoices - only current. Sucks - any feedback from MTN would be greatly appreciated.... PLEASE?

Hmmm....

I get the following message, after waiting the 48 hours after changing my pin.

--------------------
Invalid Login.
Could not validate login
For more information dial 1761 from your MTN mobile phone.

It is advisable to quit the browser completely to prevent any of the displayed pages to be retrieved.

I have done this again and again with cleared cookies, several reboots etc...

Dial 1761. Good luck.

PS You may well be charged for this call at premium rates! If you, post a complaint at hellopeter.com, at which point Richard will probably call you, apologise and tell you that your account will be credited. But you won't be able to check that until after month end of the current billing period. Which if it's like the December billing period won't be visible on-line until some time the next month. Or never.

What makes you think I've been there?

Challenge - list your unbilled calls.

starting at http://mtnsp.co.za:

1. click Online Billing
2. enter cellphone number
3. click enter
4. enter pin
5. click enter
6. click accept conditions of use - note this must be done each time you log on.
7. click accounts
8. choose from dropdown
9. click submit
10 click invoice (see if you can find this one!)
11 click unbilled - you probably looked in the wrong place to find this too
12 click national calls - another challenge, but you will solve it.

Lo and behold, your unbilled calls are displayed. Totally intuitive. If you are dyslexic.

I believe that mtn are offering a free for life contract for anyone who can find a more tortuous solution :(

Is it just me, or did MTN Active go titsup again? I seem unable to access my account for the past week. I get this:

System Error / Exception
java.lang.NullPointerException
