Hi all,

MTN has recently anounced that they now offer the Nokia Messaging service as here : http://mybroadband.co.za/news/cellular/12167-Nokia-signs-messaging-deal-with-MTN.html

MTN are now offering a 3 year old phone, the E63 with push e-mai. What I want to know is, is push e-mail only available on the E63 or across the network as long as your phone has Nokia Messaging ?

If anyone has experenice with setting up Nokia Messaging , please respond. I have a E72 and am on MTN contract for about 6 months now. Sold the contract phone & bought a E72. I would also like to know how push e-mail affects data charges, is the phone connected all the time to the network, or does the e-mail get pushd, in the true sense of push e-mail?

thanks

Dude... it's a shyte deal, most of Nokia's new phones, but specifically the E & N series phone, have it, al they are saying in the statement is that they will be including 10MB bundles with the contracts - which is so little, you'll need at least tripple that. I also have an E72, and yes mail is "pushed" in the IMAP sense, but I think you are talking about 'IMAP Idle' - I use gmail imap, and it doesnt seem to do it, but I'm very sure it's gmail, and not the phone.
