I've just got myself a new MTN Anytime 200 contract (to pay for my new HTC HD2
), and am a little wary of what my data bill will be at the end of the month ... so please excuse if this has been asked & answered, but I can't do a earch for "MTN"!
In the Tariff list, the data charge is listed as follows:
Internet Access**
(HSDPA, 3G, EDGE, GPRS) R 2.00 [That's per Mb]
At the bottom, you see this:
** This rate applies when no data bundle is loaded and is charged per megabyte.
Now what I want to know is:
1.) Is that charge "per megabyte or part thereof" (i.e. I use 1 kb so I get charged R2.00), or per megabyte as a rate (i.e. 1 kb is charged at R2.00 /1000 = R0.002)
2.) Does the "counter" on the billing side, clock each access seperately and round it up (so if I access 3G 100 times during the day, and each time only get 1kb of data, does it say 100 * 1Mb = 100Mb = R200.00, or does it ADD the 1kb during the day to get 100kb = 1Mb = R2.00 for the day ...)
This would obviously make a huge difference in the bill at the end of the month, so I'd really appreciate knowing.
