MTN base data versus promo data

Hi all

I'm on an MTN contract that gives me 100GB anytime and 100GB promo. Does MTN first deplete the promotional data then the base data? Also, do either of them rollover?

Promo data is usually only for the first 30 days, or will the promo data be included every month? what does your contract say?

I just got off the phone with 135 and the agent advised me that my promo data is recurring monthly and is shareable and even rolls over which is a shocker.

My only gripe is being told the promo data depletes before the actual contract base data :/

So apparently MTN will deplete the base data first... only one way to find out

The promo data gets used first I believe. My base data hasn't moved of 1GB in months.

You can share the base data to another sim (in a modem) and use that first..

Can confirm my promo data gets used first. I took a before and after screenshot of the app's usage breakdown and did like 25 speedtests. Promo balance dropped almost a full gig
